So today, I played a bit with my Clinique Eyeshadows!
I’ll make a post a about these eyeshadows later!
I used the Clinique eyeshadows as eyeshadow and as brow filler, and brown MAC gel brow liner as my eyeliner. The lashes are Ritzy Kiss. 😀
This is a late post, but I got free lipsticks from MAC on National Lipstick Day!
I actually didn’t intend to go get lipsticks, but I was at the mall to return a pair of sunglasses that were a little too small for me. The line at the standalone MAC store was enormous, wrapping around the hall, but I noticed Nordstrom had a 10-person line, so I hopped in and got a lipstick. Macy’s had a slightly longer line of 30 people, which was still pretty short and fast, so I stopped there and got another one. In total, after 30 minutes of waiting in lines, I got two lipsticks: Dare You and Delish.
Now, I actually really rarely put on lipstick, and I never tried a MAC lipstick before, but I think these lipsticks are quite pretty!
As for some swatches:
The lipsticks both have a very whipped vanilla scent to it, but not overwhelmingly so. The formula feels soft and buttery, and I’d have no problem blending the two lipsticks together. In fact, they look gorgeous together!
I might even use this blend as eyeshadow or blush. It’s that pretty! But anyways, that’s all for now.
Try blending your favorite shimmers or mattes and make something beautiful!
I saw a few decluttering videos on Youtube the other day, and I started thinking about how fun it would be to do a declutter. Until I saw what I had:
This all fit on my laptop, which was pretty scary. And it includes all my skincare. Yup, not doing a declutter anytime soon. There’s nothing here I don’t use.
The full list for reference, roughly from top left to bottom right, in rows:
The inside of my MAC Pro Palette just looks like this so far:
Yup, that’s it.
Just sharing a look I did today! I usually like a softer look, but here it is anyways.
I didn’t do anything else besides my eyes today. So no foundation, no mascara, no whatever. 🙂
MAC eyeshadows: Saddle, I’m Into It, Club, and Goldbit
Yesterday, I got 4 eyeshadows from MAC, along with the 9-color empty palette for the grand total of $42. I’ll give a brief review here!
All of them together:
Swatches, no primer, white sunscreen underneath:
I’m Into It
This is a really nice deep red-burgundy color. The texture is soft and creamy with no fallout. Blending is easy-peasy with this! Despite the lack of real primer, the color still lasted throughout the entire day for the swatch above.
Like I’m into it, this is a really nice creamy shadow. It’s a bit less prominent than the red, but it really does transfer onto skin wonderfully. The eyeshadow looked a bit muted in the packaging, but it looks much brighter and orange-r in the palette. The swatch at the top of this page gives a good idea of the actual shade of this shadow.
Such a pretty shimmer! This is pretty much what you’d expect from a shimmer eyeshadow. This is probably the most generic shade I got of the four of them, but I like it nonetheless. It shows up on me, which is surprising!
This is my favorite of them all. It looks so mediocre in the pan, but it adds so much dimension to the eyes. It looks red or green, depending on the angle at which you view it. Needless to say, it applies very well and looks very unique. This is the shadow that’s convincing me to get more duochrome eyeshadows from MAC. It’s awesome!
Aaaand yeah. That’s all the colors. It’s not much, but the quality is amazing. I’ll be getting more eventually.
Oh, and here’s the first thing I did with this palette. No falsies, no distractions:
These are my go-to items, so I’ll give a brief overview (and review) of them. So here we have a Milani Bronzer, as well as two Clinique Palettes. The swatches: The Milani Bronzer This bronzer is a little odd. From the palette itself, one would expect it to be quite pigmented, but after a… Continue reading [Review] Clinique Eyeshadows + Milani Bronzer
My sister got an Urban Decay Smoky palette for $30, since the product is being discontinued. So, I thought I might as well try something with it!
This is a way more dramatic look than I would normally go for, but it was experimental anyways.
I used “Combust” underneath everything, then followed it up with some “Whiskey.” Then, I started layering on “Dagger” and “Black Market” on the outer corners of the eyes. I lined half of the bottom of my eye with “Shoulder”, then topped off everything with a bit of “High” and a random yellow-toned shadow from Clinique on the inner part of my lid. Voila!
I’d show both eyes, but I only did the makeup on one eye. Heh.
